Grateful

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."

I read this somewhere, and I really liked it, so I decided to share it with you.

I really dont have very much to tell you, I am working a lot lately, and I dont have time to do a lot of things, to tell you the ruth, my life is not very interesting, but I am glad to work in something that I like, thats really a blessing.

And the other day, I received a great surprise: a phone call from a friend that I havent seen in many years, it was awesome to talk to him (even though he woke me up, cause it was 1 a.m here... but its fine, I dont care :-) ), and to know that he and his family are doing fine.

That call made me think in a lot of memories from the past, and I once again realized how blessed I am for having those memories, and for knowing people like him, who helped me be a better person. I have changed a lot in these years, and some things have changed very much, but the basic important things remain, and thats cool.

I am so lucky, cause I have a great family and awesome friends , and I am so grateful for that.
